As we speak, I'm testing seeds, lights, grow schedules, etc. for my crops. I'm ordering equipment that will change my set-up
from home growing to commercial farming. The biggest challenge is packing up my art studio to put into storage to make room for my crops. I'm moving my office/spare bedroom to where my studio is currently located, then setting up my grown room (farm) in the previous location of my office. It's important to me to have a professional, clean, dedicated space where I will be able to control the environment. I will be controlling the light, temperature, and humidity to allow my crops to grow to their fullest potential.
As sad as it is to pack up my studio, I will be keeping some staple art supplies at home, like my paints, canvases, resin, etc. My sadness is quickly getting overtaken by excitement to move the office/guest room to my studio space because the view is so much prettier. It's also really exciting to propel forward to getting my commercial farm operating. This is something I've been dreaming about for a very long time, seriously researching for well over 6 months now, and getting my grow skills polished with various courses and mentors. I am certain this is my calling for the future. I am a farmer's daughter after all.... it just took me my whole life to get back to my roots.
